Design is the process through which we maximize what something can do. From a living room to a web page, good design takes what already exists and makes it better.
Instructional design is the process by which we maximize learning - making learning more effective, pleasant, and straightforward.
Knowledge
The distribution of knowledge is, i've found, much more of an art than a science. We have to answer the question - how do people learn?
And what can we do to make learning better?
